I heard that there was a division between cafe rio owners and the current bajio owner use to be a part owner of cafe rio. He isn't doing as well, but I think he offers a better atmospher with better prices than cafe rio. He is farther away from BYU, but has great food..

I went here just once and got their pork salad but it was definitely not as good as the ones you get at Cafe Rio or Costa Vida. Their pork wasn't sweet, but one thing I did like was they put cheese on your tortilla. I heard their burriots are excellent, however.

I absolutely LOVE their green chile chicken quesadilla. It comes with beans and your choice of mexian or sweet rice. it's sweet yet tangy and although it may not seem that big as a burrito it is definitely filling. It is especially good with guacamole and sour cream! mmmmmm drool..drool

The food is good, but not my favorite Mexican restaurant. I was not a fan of their grilled sweet onions, it was too overwhelming and yet I talked to somebody else who loved it. The atmosphere is really fun. The decorations are cool to look at. The prices range from $5-10 and the plates are filling.

If you're looking for some deliciously UN-authentic Mexican grub, try Bajio as an alternative to Cafe Rio. They don't have the crazy lines and they have SEVERAL dishes that are tastey, unlike Cafe Rio where anything other than burritos and salad is bound to disappoint. P.S.- the shrimp tacos are bangin.

Bajio restaurant is one of the best mexican restaurants I've ever been to. Not only do they have fresh, exceptional food, they have a great ambience and great service as well. I definitely recommend it as an overall great dining experience.
