This bakery is right up front of the store, and they offer a wide variety of breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, bagels, doughnuts and pies. Custom specialty cakes can be specially ordered. Sometimes day-old goods are on sale at very faborable prices. Very efficient and friendly staff.

Well, everyone probably knows what WalMart has to offer. This is a supercenter, so it also has a grocery store, auto maintenance section, garden center, plus photography shop, beauty shop, nail shop, etc.
The store is well laid out, staff are well trained and prices are always very good.

Belk's is located inside the Riger Oaks Mall and is one of their anchor stores. You'll find mostly men's, women's and children's clothing, plus seasonal specials. Prices are affordable and quality is good. Friendly staff will offer assistance when needed.

Pier 1 is part of the national chain, and this one is located in a strip center adjacent to the WalMart. If you're not familiar with it, usually you can find an eclectic assortment of dishes and glassware, pillows, candles, rugs, accent furnishings and gift items. They are good at wrapping things and gift wrapping as well. Seasonal items carried.

Gibson's is one cool store. It's kind of like an old fashioned hardware store, with a few extra departments thrown in. You'll find everything from hunting and fishing gear, cowboy boots and hats, household items, garden supplies, Texas flags, knives, Texas souvenirs, Texas furniture and lawn ornaments. Decent prices.

Burke's is for the true bargain hunter, because you never know what you will find. Mostly clothings for men, women and children, with some accessories, shoes, and household items. Burke's has their famous yellow signs posted in certain areas with colored dots which correspond to discounts, so you must check out the dots on the item you're interested in to see if you get a 30% up to 90% discount. Sometimes, you can get really good bargains; just don't expect to get the most up-to-date fashion items.

Nice array of merchandise in this brightly lit store inside the mall with a good inventory of men's, women's and children's attire. Good prices. Mostly clothing, with some jewelry and a few gift items. Seems like they always have a sale going on. Beall's is a chain store. Good customer service.

Fast, quick, and hot. What is so great is that they have the "hot 'n ready" trays, so you can walk in, grab a pizza, and go within a minute. The pizzas are as good and somewhat more affordable even than other local pizzerias.
This is in a strip center, right across the street from Hastings Books.

Over 1000 people a day visit this library, which is almost in downtown Kerrville. Great inventory, well laid out, plenty of places to relax and read, and lots of computers, newspapers and magazines.
There is talk about buiilding a new library in downtown.

These people are just fabulous! I think there are only 2 paid staff and the rest are volunteers, but they do their best to not only treat animals but save them. They have a wonderful program "adopt a pet" and are a "do not kill" facility, which means the cats and dogs remain their until a home is found. Also they will board your pet.
You really can tell that your pet will be well cared for as soon as you walk through the door and talk with the staff.

You'll enjoy poking through this 2-story Antique Mall, which is in downtown Kerrville in a former mercantile building. The floors creak and the entire building makes you feel as though you've stepped back in time. Kiosks of individual antique and collectible dealers are throughout. You'll find dishware, records, jewelry, vintage clothing, glassware, tinware, a big collection of Coca Cola memorabilia, furniture and furnishings and more. Outside is a 6' tall statue of Big Bird, very popular to snap a photo with the youngsters.
Also on sale are jams and jelllies of the Hill Country and locally made fudge. A vintage Coke machine will tempt you to enjoy a frosty beverage after you're through poking around.

This is the headquarters for James Avery Craftsman. They have retail outlets throughout Texas in high-end malls and summer of 2009 will branch out to Birmingham. James Avery is famous for handcrafted Christian jewelry, made of quality materials, yet sells for affordable prices.
The grounds meticulous and quite beautiful, and there is a small visitor center where you can watch a video of the history of the company, plus view through a window at the craftsmen at work.
Also on grounds is one of their retail shops.

This is an awesome craftsman, one who has provided silver buckle sets to famed country-western artists, and even the President! The workmanship is gaspingly beautiful, simple or intricate. The shop is small but tasteful. It is located on Old Ingram Loop, which houses a bunch of galleries and craft shops. This is a worthwhile stop.

This is a cool stopping-off spot. The owners are husband-and-wife artists and craftsmen; the several rooms are filled with unique and handcrafted items, mostly with a rustic, Western theme. Quality is evidenced in the work and prices are fair. You will enjoy poking around so you won't miss anything.
The Copper Cactus is in Old Ingram Loop, a short by-way in Ingram which is now filled with artists and craft shops.

Typical Sonic fare and of course the theme is a drive-up or drive-in restaurant. This location is right across from Walmart, so a good location. It is usually not crowded. They usually have specials from 2-4 weeknights on slushies and slurpies. Breakfast sandwiches are really good.

Really good food at this chain restaurant. A nicer selection and a big of an upgrade from Subway or Quiznos, but the prices may be a bit higher also. You stand up and order, then they will call your name to come pick up your food. This location is not far from other shops, about 2 miles north of downtown, and free standing.

This is a small shopping center, but a focal point for Kerrville. You will find Bealls, Belk's, JC Penney's, several jewelry stores, western furniture store, hair salons, Sprint, etc. Not much inside the mall for food, but outside and adjacent you will find a number of fast food restaurants like Church's, Long John Silver's, and Denny's. Mall is clean and has plenty of free parking.
